InDesign User Groups
The Adobe Worldwide InDesign User Group Community has been around for well over a decade, and now has 88 chapters in 36 countries, with over 52,000 registered members. That's a lot of local interest and extra effort to get together about a software program! The creative and communications fields inspire that kind of passion in many professionals who are interested in sharing their knowledge and experiences, and the User Groups are a great way to connect with like-minded people with similar interests in digital media, design, and publishing.

The InDesign User Groups (IDUG) are organized and run by the grass-roots efforts of area designers and trainers, although the groups are sponsored and supported by Adobe Systems. Individual IDUG chapters are local organizations that meet in person, although some chapters are now broadcasting their meetings and events, making it easier for interested people to attend no matter where they're located.
